1. Named Awards

1) APASL Okuda-Omata Distinguished Award

2) APASL Powell-Sarin Achievement Award

3) APASL Lesmana-Sollano Great Mentor Award

APASL will offer USD 5,000 for each.

<Selection Criteria for Named Awards>

Presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria

• High original scientific research and achievements in a given area of liver diseases
• Continuous Contribution to APASL Activities
• Leadership role in academics and science in the field of Hepatology
• Persons with at least ten papers in Hepatology International, including five papers with his/her name as the first or as the correspondence author will be considered

      2.Rising Star Award

APASL will offer USD 2,000 for each.

<Selection Criteria for Rising Star Award>

Presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria

• Active scientific research in the field of Hepatology in process
• Willingness to contribute APASL activities
• Continuous attendance to APASL activities
• Age younger than 40 years
• Persons with at least five papers in Hepatology International, including three papers with his/her name as the first or as the correspondence author will be considered

• The announcement to APASL members by APASL secretariat.
• Application form will be sent by the applicants.
• Selection will take place in the APASL Steering Committee Meeting.
• The result will be notified to the awardees along with the instruction of presentation preparation in the APASL Annual Meeting.
