It is a great pleasure to announce you that APASL will call for application of the APASL Named Award and Rising Star Award which will be included in the scientific program of the next APASL Annual Meeting. Following is the information regarding the application for the Awards. We are looking forward your application!
Named Awards 2026
1) APASL Okuda-Omata Distinguished Award
2) APASL Powell-Sarin Achievement Award
3) APASL Lesmana-Sollano Great Mentor Award
APASL will offer USD 5,000 for each.
Rising Star Award (Within 5 Presenters)
APASL will offer USD 2,000 for each.
<Selection Criteria for Rising Star Award>
Presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria
l Active scientific research in the field of Hepatology in process
l Willingness to contribute APASL activities
l Continuous attendance to APASL activities
l Age younger than 40 years
l Persons with at least five papers in Hepatology International, including three papers with his/her name as the first or as the correspondence author will be considered

Submission Deadline: 20 January, 2026
Following materials are required to be submitted for your application:
1. Completed and signed application form (downloadable by above URL)
2. Current Curriculum Vitae and bibliography of applicant
3. Summary of your presentation
4. Portrait (Photo of your face) by image data file (JPEG or GIF)

Selection process:

The announcement to APASL members by APASL secretariat.
Application submission deadline is three months before the next Annual Meeting.
Selection will take place in the APASL Steering Committee Meeting.
The result will be notified to the awardees along with the instruction of presentation preparation in the next APASL Annual Meeting.
*The APASL Steering Committee will review all eligible applications, and will be responsible for selecting the Award recipient.
*The recipient will be invited to attend APASL 2026 Istanbul Annual Meeting to receive their award.
